As you finish up your exploratory, I would like to have you review using Scratch in our exploratory. What did you like about the program? Do you have any dislikes? Would you recommend that future uses cruise the website first, or learn to use the program? Would you have liked more direct instruction (using Sprites, the pen, how to move in specific ways, how to incorporate music or multiple backgrounds, etc.) or did you enjoy "learning as you go?" Do you think that using Scratch has helped your problem solving skills (in math or other subject areas), and if so, how?

The last week of exploratory each of you will present one of your created projects to the class, explaining your creation process and at least 3 areas where you had to apply problem-solving skills in the process. I have truly enjoyed watching you all learn and helping you understand the program during this exploratory.

i liked using Scratch because i liked to just mess around and see what happened. I would say that you should just mess around first. I think you should have both, but just mess around first then have a direct guide. I think it's helped me a lot because it showed me how to figure things out more efficently.

i loved messing around on scratch it was a great expirience iv never done anything like that before! the only thing that i disliked about it was that there is a lot of math to it! it was hard at first to try and figure out what each section did. i had a lot of fun and im sure everyone else did!!!

I thought the Scratch program was confusing at first. I strongly despised having to have every last detail exactly perfect. I would recommend that future users explore the website first, then learn all the mechanics of how it works. I'm sort of a "learn as you go" person, but I think that it would work fine both ways.

At first I thought that Scratch was really confusing and didn't make sense, but once I played around with it I understood more. I think that we should have seen examples first, but not played around on the website. We should have used the website second. Mrs.Ites's examples helped to see how the program worked. I think that more direct instruction would be good for the basic things and then we could learn ourselves. It helps your problem solving skills becuase it doesn't always work and you have to keep trying new things.

The program was awesome, I liked how I was able to make stuff randomley and create video games, I was able to make some really cool stuff,, I didn't think I'd be able to learn it all so fast, but it was so much eaiser then it looked. I hope that they make some new tools, and make new ideas for new sprites. The loading time is cool. Way faster then mine. Thanks mrs ites for the awesome exploritory.

I like the fact that it is a very easy to use program. I also like the fact that there are already tons of programs out there to start off of. I dislike that it doesn't have some of the things I think it should or they could be easier to use in some ways. I think that I learn better through working with the program than seeing what other people did. I thought that the help button could have been more helpful than it was and that some things should have premade scripes. Yes, I think that it has helped my problem solving skills be making it fun to try to figure things out.

I think it was very fun and I would recomend it to anyone. I used it for one of my book reports. It was a little slow, but it helped you find mistakes. I made a few projects and I think I have them all uploaded. My username is aamaster.

i liked the program because it helped me to understand the internet experience way more and that there are fun problems that you need to solve to get to the end of the game and helps you understand and be more investagative. i think the students should be able to figure out how to use the program and if they need help give them hints to get where they want to go. its intersecting that u can make the game what ever you want and how to get it how every you want.this program helps you with math and skills because if u want something to move u have to fugure with graphs and goemetry.

i thought that it was very fun. I always like doing things like this. i think that it is good if you look at the website first and then learn how to use it. Because then you will have some idea of what to do. One dislike that i have is that it can get hard at some times. I think that scratch did help my problem sloving skill by helping my stop and not get frustrated by things.

i liked scratch because it's fun to figure out how to make people move and talk. but at first it's kinda hardto get used to and you have to get the hang of it first. i liked messing around with scratch. it helped me think better and use logic.

Scratch is a really graet expierience. i loved messing around with characters and objects. What i thought was really cool was that you can get new sprites using the internet. this program was so great i dont have any dislikes. it was a little confusing in the beginning but it got much easier in the end. i would recomend to use the program first. i would've liked more instuction on how to move because thats why it was a little confusing. Scratch is an awesome expirience and i would recomend it to anybody!!! / Max M.
I love scratchit is a perfect place to express your ides and check out other peopls. sometimes it was hard for me to find what degree and things to make perfect. you should always mess around and see what happens first, then you can start working.

I really liked the fact that we got to express and use creatrive in scratch! I don't really have any dislikes once you knew what to do it was really fun!I actually would reccomend this website to my friends and others.Ya I sort of would of like a direct instruction but learning as I go was exciting. Ya it helped me alot in promblem slolving and thats what I liked about it!
